Explore the medieval maze of the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona and venture inside Gaudi’s extraordinary masterpiece, the Sagrada Família to marvel at the contrasts of architecture.  In Zaragoza, see the four towers of El Pilar and the Río Ebro. 

Spend free time exploring Pamplona, the city known for its annual Running with the Bulls festival.  In Bilbao, visit the magnificent Guggenheim Museum.  In San Sebastián. journey up Monte Igueldo to take in breath-taking views over the town and La Concha Bay then walk through the Old Quarter before you enjoy free time to perhaps explore Lo Viejo or laze by the beach.  In Burgos, see El Cid's burial place in the cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 

In Madrid, see the Royal Palace, the monument to Cervantes in the Plaza de España, the grandiose Cibeles Fountain, Parliament and Puerta del Sol then witness the world's finest collection of Spanish paintings as you tour the Prado Museum with an expert art historian.  Explore the magnificent ancient city of Toledo and visit the Church of Santo Tomé to see an El Greco's masterpiece.  Also visit a local Damascene workshop where expert craftsmen inlay steel with gold, silver and copper thread. 


Enjoy scenic drives of the Río Ebro River, Basque Country, Sierra de Guadarrama and the Plains of La Mancha.  And as a special treat, dine with the locals in San Sebastián with an evening of Pinxtos, a Basque tradition. Your progressive dinner enables you to select a variety of snack-sized treats, each with their own flavor and presentation, making each person's meal unique.
